What Does Doulaworks Mean?

Showing up emotionally and physically to support somone in their time of need, in any capacity, is Doulaworks. Instead of limiting this only to birthing doula, death doula, postpartum doula, menopause doula etc, I found that the term Doulaworks ecompasses all compassionate, functioning presence in a time of needed guidance and support.

Death and Dying

How Can a Death Doula Help?

A death doula, also known as an end-of-life doula or death midwife, is a non-medical professional who provides holistic support to individuals and their families during the dying process.

A death doula offers emotional, spiritual, and practical assistance during the many phases of the dying process. From initial diagnosis to the days of active dying, you can have the support you want with continued compassion, dignity and guidance into your next chapter.

Perhaps you only want to start preparing for your death or the death of your loved one and are looking for some direction? A death doula can help you with that also.
